The influence of family environment on the alcohol consumption and smoking in adolescents

This bachelor thesis describes the phenomenon of alcohol and cigarette consummation among young people in the Czech Republic using the theory of social deviation. The following chapters focus on various topics, for example legislative measures connected to this issue, harmfulness of the substances included in alcohol and cigarettes, the family functions that can affect this behaviour or the possible addiction to the addictive substances as one of the health determinants. Deviation is characterized as an excessive consummation of these addictive substances as the regular consummation of alcohol and cigarettes is common enough that it is considered normal. Czech students appear among the first ten countries in the consummation of alcohol and cigarettes. Their behaviour can be affected for example by sex, type of school, average grades but mainly by bad habits of their friends. According to hypotesis of social deviation the most endangered should be young people coming from incomplete, non-educated families with lot of members. These families lack rules and have bad emotional connections between their members. Expert analysis of hazardous alcohol use among adolescents in the context of alcohol policy in Czech Republic

This bachelor thesis is focused on analasys of alcohol policy in Czech Republic. The aim of this work is to describe legislation, prevention and restriction and problematic issues in all areas of alcohol policy. Another aim is to identify deficiensis and imperfecions of alcohol policy and possible solutions of it. Thesis is focused on young hazardous alcohol users and aim is to describe possible causes and short-term and long- term consequences of hazardous drinking. Causes and consequences are reflected in context of social issues, education, safety and health. This work is based on findings of qualitative expert survey and desk research of documents, plans, strategies and legislation.

The Part of the juvenil curator in the area the prevention of social deviation

Social deviance is the behavior that is different from the normal life of most people and the company considered it unacceptable. Therefore, the state as the highest social institutions tries to reduce this behavior especially among children and youth to a minimum. It does so through the establishment of prevention and social worker for youth functions. The profession of social worker is demanding the knowledge of many disciplines,for example the development of children and youth, expressions of social deviance, etc. Curator works with many governmental and nongovernmental institutions. The aim of this work is to determine the role of social worker for youth, compare the theoretical practices in the prevention of social deviance with the options set by practice and the contribution of the curator in the prevention of social deviance. Corruption in the Customs Administration of the CR

Thesis "Corruption in the Czech Customs Administration" is focused on the issue of corruption and the causes of corrupt behaviour of Czech customs officials. The primary task of this work was to determine whether it is the disorganization of the armed force or the individual deviance which influences the level of corruption in the Czech Customs Administration more. The secondary task was to elicit the level of corruption as it is perceived by the customs officials themselves and on the basis of the acquired information to suggest some anti-corruption measures. The theory of social disorganization and the theory of social deviancy were used as the basis for this work. The data required for the decision whether it is the disorganization of the armed force or the individual deviance which influences the level of corruption in the Czech Customs Administration more and the data for the findings of the corruption level as it is perceived by the customs officials was collected from a quantitative research. The bachelor thesis stands on theoretical and empirical bases. This thesis focuses on the addictive drug abuse among children and adolescents. The theoretical part focuses on the problems of addictive drugs, particularly alcohol, cigarettes and marijuana; the issues are approached from a sociological perspective. The social deviance concept is of high importance in this part. The practical part is based on an empirical research, which surveys the causes and the frequency of addictive drug abuse among children and adolescents.
Social Deviance in small Social Group

This thesis is focused on the issue of occurrence of social deviations in a small social group. The methodical part deals with characteristics of the social group, social norms, social deviations and selected forms of deviant behavior. The research is devoted to observing of deviations in the social group. In this part, there is characterized research method, description, environment, analysis of the group and findings of deviations. The result of the thesis is recommendation for the management of the group in order to improve the atmosphere and increase the work efficiency.
Current social pathology and its image in the work of E. Durkheim

The aim of this paper is to acquaint the reader with the problems of socially pathological phenomena and theoretical approaches to the study of the phenomena. This is mainly theoretical content of the text. In the practical part, the author attempts to challenge social pathology to look somewhat less typical optics. Reveals a possible link between socio-pathological manifestations and forms of contemporary work . Émile Durkheim, respectively work in which the issues of their time engaged , the writer served as an imaginary point that both the mouth of the introductory chapter the practical part, which is also a kind of springboard for subsequent chronological shift toward the presence and characteristics of work that are typical of the current organized form . The aim of the author is also to point out the still current Durkheim reflection on the relationship between certain types of work and socio-pathological phenomena . The author of the text places significant emphasis on the historical and economic context of the transformation of work and trying to also capture the essential features of the thinking was typical of the period in which E. Durkheim formed. Much of the space is devoted to contemporary neoliberalism or phenomena associated with postmodernism, their relationship and access to socio- pathological phenomena.
Role of prevention methodist related to social-pathological phenomena at elementary schools.

The bachelor?s thesis is focused on different standpoints of primary prevention of risk behavior at elementary school environment. At the thesis forefront stands a role of school prevention methodist. The target the thesis is collection and comparison of various points of view related to prevention of risk behavior and a role of elementary school prevention methodist. The theoretical part describes a social pathology, a social deviance and a social norm. It defines term ?risk behavior? and describes the selected risk behaviour (school the most common ones) that occur within the school environment often. Then it directes on prevention of this risk behavior and basic characterization of elementary schools in the Czech Republic. The practical part contains the results of survey conducted at three elementary schools in South Bohemian Region. Through the questionnares and interviews it maps the standpoints of 8th to 9th grade the pupils, parents, teachers, principals and prevention methodists themselves related to primary prevention and prevention methodist activity accompanied by indications of risk behavior at selected elementary schools.
Prevention of socially pathological phenomena at the local level

At this time are socio-pathological phenomena and their incidence among juveniles and adolescents the burning issue, due to an increase crime undertaken by this age group. In my essay focused on the issue of undersirable and socially dangerous phenomena. I chose a location and set the goal of my research. The goal was to describe the socio-pathological phenomena occurring in the locality and analysis of prevention of these phenomena (creation of preventive measures, their implementation, availability, cooperation of the institutions involved in preventive measures, etc). In case of any shortcomings in the system prevention suggest possible measures to improve cooperation between various departments involved in this issue. Theoretical part defines the basic notions - social norms, social deviance, social sanctions, social control, social pathology, and prevention of these phenomena. It describes in detail the incidence of social pathology, causes and possibilities of prevention of the problem. The research was conducted after obtaining information on the issue, based on a qualitative approach, using half-controlled interview. It was headed to press-spokespeople Police of Czech Republic, the curator for children and youth and social workers to the site. The survey results suggest that primary prevention is the cooperation components involved in the prevention of socially pathological phenomena in a very good level. Are there problems in the secondary and tertiary prevention (lack of funds, incomplete facilities, communication problems between the different components involved in the prevention, etc.) The results of this work presents the current situation in the field of pathology and may be the basis for further studies and researches in this field.
